About Myself
Knit and purl. Simple, yet so satisfying. I learned how to knit 30+ years ago when I was expecting my first child. A friend of mine who was an experienced knitter had shown me some of the items that she had knitted and I asked her if she would teach me. I have been knitting ever since and love it. I started off small making mostly sweaters for children of family and friends and then graduated into knitting adult sweaters. I adore the lush colors, fibers and textures of yarns that are available in the knitting industry today. My favorite is knitting afghans as each and everyone is a labour of love. I make them for my family and for friends, especially when I know that there is a baby on its way. With afghans, the sky is the limit on what you can do by using different types of yarn and needle sizes to create that one of a kind masterpiece. Knitting is a relaxing past time for me that I can take it anywhere that yarn and needles go and I am sure you will find it relaxing as well. Once you have finished a project and would like to have it posted on my website, please send me a photo, your first name and state/province and country you are sending it from. I am sure that you would love for everyone to see what you have created.
You can send your pictures of your finished work to knitting.withlinda@hotmail.ca
